Mr$ Bonddad here. Bonddad and ATT are engaged in an epic battle for internet access, unfortunately, ATT is winning at this time. I have my mace at the ready in case he needs help. Damn the Man!

The devil you have may be better than the devil you could have. Verizon took 6 trips to my house to hook up fiber 3 months ago. Today after 4 calls they came out to schedule replacing it because it is falling off the telephone poles.
I wonder how many trips the actual replacement will take and how long I'll be out of service.
Bonddad - You need to take some credit for warning everyone on DailyKos for years that this was coming. You saved me a ton of money by keeping me alert and moving to cash in August, 2007. Thank you so very much for your posts. A well deserved "I told you so" to counteract the "nobody expected this to happen" should be noted.
Kudos to you for keeping us informed. Your other half is the best place for non-insiders like myself to get a concise, understandable explanation of WTF is going on in the world of Finance/Economics. I can read the other blogs, but as an engineer, I can follow the math, but not the machinations of the econ world.
Here's hoping y'all get on-line soon and save me from pulling out what's left of my hair ;-)
Don't feel bad, Comcast had put in a new box of some sort in our area, and my internet has been shoddy ever since. They claim they are fixing it but who knows when. I can't get DSL or FIOS in my area, so cable is my only choice. You're not alone, my fellow econ geek.
My tax practice is centered around captive insurance. I'm the author of the book U.S. Captive Insurance Law (which is also available on Kindle), the leading book in the field. You can learn more about captive insurance at my website.
I'm on Linked In and Twitter (@captivelawyer). Silver Oz's Linked In name is @silver_oz. NDD is a fossil and may be reached by etching a picture in stone on the wall of a cave.
The Bonddad Economic History Project
At the beginning of 2012, I decided to start looking at the actual, statistical history of the US economy starting in 1950. The reason is simple: to find out what really happened. So, when you see title of a post that begins with a year such as 1957, followed by "employment" or "Fed policy: you know what it's for. You can also access the information by typing in BE for Bonddad econ and a year to find information on a particular year.
Here is a link to pages that contain links to all the posts on the years listed.
This blog contains opinions and observations. It is not professional advice in any way, shape or form and should not be construed that way. In other words, buyer beware.

Good luck with AT&T ... you'll need it.
Mr$ Bonddad,
Thanks for walking the line!
